‘Tis the season……when Back gets Guitar Hero for Christmas!
Forth and I aren’t much for giving presents to each other anymore, so this year we decided that we’d gift ourselves collectively with an XBox 360. It will be the most up-to-date game console either of us have owned since the Nintendo 64. Actually….Forth might have had a Playstation 2 in college, but I hear TheBeardedMan kind of destroyed it (along with a coffee table) during a competetive instance involving NCAA Football on PS2.
Anyways, I’m finally catching up with 2005 or whatever, and looking very forward to owning the Guitar Hero series, after playing it haphazardly through friends and roommates and whatnot. To some…it is just a lame videogame. To me–it’s the only videogame I’ve ever been good at. Like…really good. I mean, I’m probably rusty having not played in a few months, and it will take me a good hour or two to be what I used to, but I’m not bad. Perhaps the most striking thing is that Guitar Hero is the only thing I’m better at than Forth. Sure I’m a better cook, but Guitar Hero is something he SHOULD be better at than I am…and he’s just not.
Such is why I have to hold onto this nugget of power, and embrace it to its fullest. For one, I know more of the songs than he does, and for two–I kick his ass. All over the board. But enough of this: to conclude, I shall announce what I am looking forward to playing on:

How much weight did you lose playing DDR? You should be in a commercial or something.

It was about a year and a half ago at my (ex) girlfriends birthday party. I was buzzed on G&T and was still going step for step with the kids who played all the time.
The total weight loss when I was playing it was about 30-35 lbs…I was also weightlifting and walking about 3-4 miles a day at the time too, which certainly helped. DDR 5 days a week, lifting 3 days a week and walking to my building where my classes were was about 1.5-2 miles from my dorm.

I am late to the party here, but I MUST clear a few things up.
1. The playstation lives. It is in my basement and is free to anyone who wants it. I payed Forth an undisclosed sum for it when we parted from school. It was the controllers that were destroyed and I only take partial credit for that one.
2. That coffee table was defective and I hardly laid a finger on it.
3. Forth sucks at Guitar Hero b/c he has actually played the Guitar. I suck at it too. Mostly b/c for some reason my pinky finger refuses to work with the rest of my hand.

He refused to talk to me for a few hours after that. He’s just pissed because I only threw twice in the that game and his receivers kept dropping the ball. NCAA was awesome. He is right that I sold it to him though. Back exaggerated a bit on the destruction. And Ubs was the one who broke the black chest we used as a coffee table in the dorms if anyone recalls that. Fist right through it.
And yeah… I’m not all that great at either guitars but the pinkie is my problem too.

In regards to BM’s comment about sucking at Guitar Hero due to pinky finger problems, I have a feeling I would also have trouble playing due to my screwed up pinkys. They’re slightly crooked and the center joints do not work properly (I can’t smoothly flex my finger, it sort of “snaps” from one position to another) so I’d be willing to bet I’d also suck at the game. Oh well.

I can’t play GH either because of my pinky finger… even though mine is the opposite of Forth’s and they jut away from the rest of my fingers… But I also suck at actual guitar, which is why I’m picking up piano again… way easier
